About Daniel
Since joining the Army Band in 2015, Daniel has been performing around the country and internationally as a pianist and vocalist. These include performances at Minnesota Twins games, U.S. Embassies, and even a performance opening for the legendary Chicago. During this time he played everything from Jazz, Rock, Pop, and R&B. Daniel was originally classically trained and a four-time winner of the MMTA Piano Competition. In addition to playing piano, Daniel also has extensive experience in singing and songwriting. Daniel received a Bachelor of Arts in Songwriting from Belmont University in 2022, where he honed his songwriting skills and developed as a well-rounded musician. He has been teaching Piano Lessons and Voice Lessons since 2018 and has a passion for sharing the gift of music with his students.
Inspiring Lifelong Musicianship
Daniel’s goal is to foster a lifelong love of music in all his students and give them the skills to become well-rounded musicians. Whether his students decide to pursue a career in music or they decide to play as a lifelong hobby, Daniel hopes they take what they learn in these lessons with them for the rest of their lives.
Daniel starts with a balanced approach. Lessons include reading music, playing by ear, music theory, improvisation, and composition, forming a broad range of skills. Daniel pays close attention to their interests, strengths, and goals. He then emphasizes these interests and strengths while continuing to help them develop as versatile musicians. By this method, each student is personally invested in their education while continuing to develop a broad musical skill set.
